00 Traditional 12 fret M.B. Custom Guitar

This guitar was a custom order based on the body shape, dimensions and scale of the owners own 1929 Martin 00-40 that I have repaired and maintained over the past decade. The top, back and sides were all cut from a single piece of Honduran Mahogany seasoned in my stock since 1988.

Whilst traditionally X braced, there are numerous non traditional structural elements. Brace positioning, shape etc  along with  composite carbon/maple/spruce bridge plate,  laminated neck/tail blocks and solid top linings and aesthetic appointments combine to make this guitar deliberately inspired by but not a replica of the original 1929 Martin 00 form. The custom made marquis ruby/gold side position markers were a special of personal significance to the client. Its always a joy to accomodate these personal touches.

Warm sounding as one would expect from all mahogany, this guitar exhibits a clear and articulate attack.
